This Rwandan coffee lot consists of peaberries sourced from multiple washing stations in the country's southern and western provinces. Peaberries, a natural rarity where only one seed develops inside the coffee cherry, occur in small amounts on every tree. While single-farm peaberry lots from countries like Guatemala yield only a few bags, Rwanda’s cooperative system allows for a larger volume, resulting in 65 bags from multiple contributors. Known as "Milles Collines" or "the land of 1000 hills," Rwanda’s high-altitude farms produce exceptional coffee, with cooperative members benefiting from easy access to washing stations situated atop these hills.
